A Sweet Dream - Hector or Rose Butterfly / Сладкая греза - бабочка гектор или роза

Papilio Pachliopta hector (Linnaeus, 1758), Papilionidae fam. Eng. — Crimson Rose.

It is found in India and Sri Lanka and possibly the coast of western Myanmar. This species is protected by law in India. The crimson rose is very fond of flowers especially Lantana. The red body, slow peculiar flight, bright colouration and pattern of the wings are meant to indicate to predators that this butterfly is inedible, being well protected by the poisons it has sequestered from its larval food plant Aristolochia.
Hector in Greek mythology was a Trojan prince and the greatest fighter for Troy in the Trojan War in the Iliad of Homer.

Парусник гектор Pachliopta hector (Linnaeus, 1758), сем. Парусники (Papilionidae) Англ. — Crimson Rose — «пунцовая роза».
Обитает в Индии и на Шри Ланке, а также возможно на побережье западной Мьянмы. В Индии охраняется законом. Гектор очень любит цветы, особенно лантану. Красное тело, медленный своеобразный полет, яркая окраска и узор крыльев призваны показать хищникам, что бабочка несъедобна, так как ее прекрасно защищает яд, накопленный ею при питании на стадии гусеницы растениями вида Aristolochia.
Гектор — в древнегреческой мифологии храбрейший вождь троянского войска, главный троянский герой в «Илиаде» Гомера.
